Permascaping transformed my front yard into a sustainable, beautiful oasis. … The team’s expertise and attention to detail were outstanding, creating a low-maintenance, eco-friendly landscape that I absolutely love. … Highly recommend Permascaping for anyone looking to elevate their outdoor space in Arizona!
Permascaping completely transformed the property. … The whole project really pulled our landscape together and solved our drainage issues. … On top of doing great work, they were quick and offered a great price.
Jeremy and Clint were wonderful to work with and really listened to our goals for the project, offered excellent recommendations along the way and completed the project on time and in budget. … They know what they are doing and can help anyone trying to apply permaculture principles to their own home!
Jeremy and the team were super responsive throughout the process and made it easy to work with our HOA. Everything feels intentional and built to last. Couldn’t recommend them more.
Great communication, great work and fair prices. … I will definitely call them back for additional work!!!

Plant Recommendations
What grows best in the low desert of Arizona

Barbados cherry (Malpighia emarginata)
A bushy shrub that fruits in flushes for much of the warm season. Its bright red cherries are among the richest sources of vitamin C of any fruit.

Frogfruit / Kurapia (Phyla nodiflora and Kurapia® hybrid)
A low flowering carpet for unirrigated-looking landscapes: native frogfruit supports wildlife, while sterile Kurapia selections make a more uniform walkable cover.

Desert fern (Lysiloma watsonii)
Fast-growing, fine-textured native canopy tree that creates filtered shade without thorns; protect young trees in colder Valley pockets.

Mulberry (Morus alba cultivars)
Exceptional food and summer shade with moderate water; choose fruiting cultivars thoughtfully and allow ample space.

Queen’s wreath (Antigonon leptopus)
A vigorous heat-loving vine that covers large arbors and fences with pink flower clusters through the warm season.

Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum)
A tall, clumping grass that makes a quick summer screen and fresh cane to chew or juice. It handles full Phoenix sun and is useful for shading young trees on a hot west wall.

Desert milkweed (Asclepias subulata)
Leafless blue-green stems host monarch and queen butterflies and thrive in hot, open desert exposure.
